COVID-19 Protocols
Please note that the Orchestra currently requires proof of Covid vaccination for our members. We also highly encourage member to access the most recent vaccinations available. As a private organization, the orchestra reserves the right to set and/or change our own protocols to protect our musicians, many of whom are in the higher risk category.
The new Covid variants continue to cause death and disability to our community. Vaccination and mask wearing (voluntary) allows us to rehearse and perform in a safer manner. We suggest to wind and brass players that disposable spit pads or receptacles be used for drips and “bell covers” for brass to minimize aerosols.
We also encourage members to be very cautious about outside exposures which could infect whole sections of the orchestra and cause cancellations of performances or loss of key players. We have experienced this before! Therefore we hope that anyone who wishes to play with us this coming season will understand our vaccination requirement. If you have any questions or concerns about this policy, please feel free to contact Dr. Ann Yanagi.
